Since 1985 Arthroscopic Anterior Cruciate Ligament Surgery has been done at New York Downtown Hospital – a Columbian Presbyterian New York Hospital Affiliate.  Most have been performed by Dr. Ronald M. Krinick.

There have been zero infections and no revisions without additional trauma, which means all procedures were successful unless the patient sustained an additional injury.  Dr. Krinick credits these excellent results to several factors.  The hospital has provided him with the most current and state of the art equipment, and has kept up with modern trends.  The staff is caring, compassionate, and capable.  The procedures are done with an excellent check and balance system; with X-ray confirmation throughout.  As importantly, communication between the medical staff and the patient is comprehensive and ongoing.

Dr Krinick says, “While we are very happy and excited about the results, we continue to strive to learn and improve all options available for patients; always weighing the benefits for the patient to the risk to the patient.  The success of ACL surgery is the demonstration of teamwork at its best at New York Downtown Hospital.”
