Dr. Marc Levinson joined Downtown Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, a division of Seaport Orthopaedics in December, 2000. He is presently one of less than 500 physicians worldwide who is board certified in Spinal Cord Injury Medicine. Miami Metro Magazine recognized Dr. Levinson as one of the best doctors in South Florida; he was nationally recognized by guide to Top Doctors.
Dr. Levinson, a graduate of St. George's University, completed his residency in physical medicine at New York University's Rusk Institute; he served as chief resident at Bellevue Hospital. Previously, Dr. Marc Levinson was the medical director of Pinecrest Rehabilitation Hospital in Delray Beach, which was rated one of the best rehabilitation hospitals in South Florida. He was also the director of the Brain and Spinal Cord Injury Program at Pinecrest Hospital. Upon returning to New York State, Dr. Levinson implemented his expertise in back and spinal cord injuries, Orthopaedic injuries, traumatic brain injury, soft-tissue injury, electrodiagnosis, and sports injuries as medical director at South Island Rehabilitation in Cedarhurst, Long Island until he joined Seaport Orthopaedic Associates.
Dr. Levinson is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Spinal Cord Injury Medicine. He is a member of the New York State Medical Society and the Nassau County Medical Society. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Levinson joined Downtown Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation as part of a group of dynamic specialists treating Orthopaedic injuries, sport injuries, soft-tissue injuries, back pain, knee and shoulder pain and chronic pain. He also specializes in non-surgical treatment of Orthopaedic injuries.
