Kimberly Sackheim, M.D.

Dr. Kimberly Sackheim is fellowship trained in interventional and medical pain management.  She has worked closely with patients dealing with chronic and acute pain syndromes.  She has extensive experience in management with oral opiate medications as well as spinal procedures performed with flouroscopic guidance. 

After graduating from University of Florida with a bachelor of science with honors, she attended medical school at the Nova Southeastern University, where he was elected as an officer to the Lambda Omicron Gamma  Honor Medical Society.   She completed Residency training in the field of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Mount Sinai Medical Center, New York.  Dr. Sackheim has completed fellowship training in Interventional Pain Management and Palliative Care at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York where she had the opportunity to work with some of the leading physicians in her field.  

Dr. Sackheim has won numerous scholarships secondary to her academic work.  In addition, she has published articles and textbook chapters in her field.  She is currently working on a book of her own.  Dr. Sackheim is a member of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians and the Association of Academic Physiatrists.

Dr. Sackheim treats patients with acute and chronic conditions including, but not limited to, muscle pain, back pain, neck pain, joint pain (shoulder, knee, elbow, wrist), radiculopathy, fibromyalgia, CRPS, failed back syndrome, arthritis, athletic injuries, tendonitis, and peripheral neuropathy. 

She approaches the treatment of pain with a multi-modality plan using medication, physical therapy, electrical stimulation devices, bracing, joint injections and flouroscopically guided spinal injections.  She works closely with other specialty physicians when needed to help improve her patients' function.
