Neurology and Interventional/Medical Pain Management
Dr. Doug Schottenstein joined Seaport Orthopaedic Associates in October of 2005 and is board certified in Neurology and Interventional Pain Management. Dr. Schottenstein treats patients suffering from a variety of acute and chronic back, neck, and extremity pain conditions. He performs a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including epidurals, facet and sacroiliac joint injections, radiofrequency lesioning, provocative lumbar discography, sympathetic blocks, annuloplasty, nucleoplasty, spinal cord stimulation, and intrathecal pumps.
Dr. Schottenstein received his medical degree from the Ohio State University College of Medicine with an award in neurology. Thereafter, he did an Internal Medicine internship at Rush University Affiliated Hospitals, a Neurology residency at Emory University Hospitals, and an Interventional Pain Fellowship at Columbia University/New York Presbyterian Hospital.
Dr. Schottenstein is an actively involved member of the American Society of Regional Anesthesia, American Headache Society, American Academy of Neurology, and the American Society of Anesthesiology.
