Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Electromyography, and Disability Evaluations
Dr. Brown is the Medical Director of Downtown Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, as well as a Senior Physiatrist of Seaport Orthopaedic Associates. He is an expert in non- operative Orthopaedic medicine, including neck and lower back pain, as well as Electrodiagnostic medicine and Disability medicine.
Dr. Brown previously served as Director of Rehabilitation at St. Barnabus Hospital (Bronx). He is currently on staff at New York University Downtown Hospital in the Department of Medicine and Physical Rehabilitation, and Cabrini Hospital.
Dr. Brown was on the teaching staff of New York Hospital/Cornell Medical Center, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is a consultant to Oxford Health Plans for Physiatry and is a former consultant for GHI in the same capacity.
Dr. Brown graduated from Fairleigh Dickenson University with a degree in marine biology. He attended St. George's University Medical School. He performed two internships; one in internal medicine at Greater Baltimore Medical Center, and one in Pediatrics at the University of Maryland Hospital. Dr. Brown's residency in medicine and physical rehabilitation was completed at Mt. Sinai Medical Society, and included rotations through Beth Israel Hospital, The Orthopaedic Institute, and the Bronx V.A. Hospital.
Dr. Brown is board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and is a fellow of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, American Congress of Rehabilitation, and the American Academy of Disability Evaluating Physicians. He is a member of the American Academy of Electrodiagnostic Medicine, and the Medical Society of the State of New York. Dr. Brown has been recognized by Castle Connolly’s Guide to Top Doctors in the New York metro area.
