Orthopaedic Surgery, Joint Replacement and Joint Preservation Surgery, Sports Medicine
Dr. Kenneth McCulloch joined Seaport Orthopaedic Associates in 2007 and is a board certified Orthopaedic Surgeon. He is an attending surgeon at NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases, NYU Medical Center, NY Downtown Hospital, and Bellevue Medical Center. He is an Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the New York University School of Medicine.
Dr. McCulloch's passion is to provide the best possible Orthopaedic care by incorporating, in a responsible manner, the latest in technological advancements, techniques and procedures in the fields of Joint Preservation, Joint Arthroplasty, and Sports Medicine. This includes minimally invasive procedures in total knee and hip surgery, such as quadriceps sparing Total Knee Arthroplasty and Anterior Supine Incision (ASI) Total Hip Arthroplasty, as well as the utilization of intra-operative computer navigation for a variety of procedures. Dr. McCulloch also has extensive experience with joint resurfacing procedures of the knee and hip, such as total hip resurfacing and the Oxford Unicompartmental Knee Arthroplasty, and the utilization of alternative bearing surfaces. This approach to Orthopaedic Surgery and patient care lead Dr. McCulloch to develop one of the busiest practices in Southern California before returning home to New York City.
Dr. McCulloch has distinguished himself in the field of adult joint reconstruction through his work to instruct other surgeons in minimally invasive techniques at conferences and in the operative suite as well as in the development of new products and the refinement of procedures. He has also organized the establishment or evolution of Joint Arthroplasty programs at a number of different medical institutions over the past few years.
Dr. McCulloch is originally born and raised in New York City. He earned his undergraduate degree from Princeton University in Princeton, NJ, and then stayed in the Garden State, receiving his M.D. from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey - Robert Wood Johnson. He then returned to New York City for his training in Orthopaedic Surgery at St. Luke's / Roosevelt Hospital Center, University Hospital of Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He then completed a prestigious fellowship in Adult Reconstruction at Stanford University Medical Center in Palo Alto, CA. His is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
